Review of Brokeback Mountain (2005) by Ty P — 07 Feb 2012

At first I did not want to see this film purely because of the hype. I thought once again here is a bunch of silent rich homosexual producers trying to jam the normality of homosexuality down heterosexuals throats. But....

Although I believe the story was slow and flat, Brokeback mountain is truely something else. The simplicity and slowness of this film, backed with great scenery and some unreal performances by both Heath and Jake, plus Michelle Williams and Anne Hathaway showing their extreme acting worth; gives a mellow but genuine film. Ang Lee deserved the awards, and Brokeback Mountain could've probaly be taken alot better if it was just left to its own accord.
