Review of Bringing Out the Dead (1999) by Nikole S — 28 Feb 2008
Paranoia, dellusions and self doubt are some of the most powerful emotions we have. Cage expertly displays these in a hazy kinetic rush of sleep depravation in a city that seems to be dying every night.
Disturbing surreal exhaustedness kicks in as he tries to find the blurred line between living and dying. The film is exceptionally directed by Scorsese who has put together another incredibly inventive film.
