Review of Brighton Rock (1948) by Chris O — 07 Dec 2010
What keeps this film in 'Classic' status is the unforgettable villainy of Attenborough's Pinkie Brown, the violence and the dark corners of the script. Some of the characters and performance are a little dated but this film still stands tall as a powerhouse of British filmmaking.
