Review of Bright (2017) by Jonathan R — 15 Jan 2018
Honestly it really looked amazing when it was being teased back in early 2017 and it lived up to the hype. The relationship between Ward and Jacoby was on point. Joel's Edgerton and Will Smith had the chemistry you expected them to have in the beginning and then the chemistry you expected them to have in the end.
Overall amazing with a lot of social commentary that is better than dozens of movies out there. I'm glad I was able to enjoy this with Netflix and I just appreciate the details that went into the characters.
The landscape did definitely feel like Los Angeles and the twists of the movie weren't that predictable (somewhat honestly). I definitely recommend it. It was actually funny and also had me fully intrigued throughout.
I'm really hoping for a sequel, if not at least comics or a tv show would be amazing.
