Review of Bright (2017) by Directguy — 23 Dec 2017

My wife and I really enjoyed this movie, and it definitely left me hoping for a sequel, either in movie or multi-episode format. Good job Netflix. And while I know movies are very subjective, the astonishingly low average critic score for this movie feels to me like a bunch of movie critics concerned about their career prospects if Netflix succeeds in making Hollywood style blockbuster movies.

I suspect they're worried their career won't be justified, or pay as well, if people can enjoy these kind of first-run movies without having to fork over the high cost associated with going to the movies.

Which I get. But still...
