Review of Bright (2017) by Joe K — 22 Dec 2017
Bright is the movie I thought it would be; great dialogue, good action sequences, fun, exciting and contains some pretty decent acting. Bright also does a really good job getting viewers to care for its characters early on; something that has been lacking in the whole Sci-Fi / Fantasy film genre lately "Ahem.
... Star Wars". Daryl Ward is definitely not Will Smith's best role; but don't let that fool you, the dialogue in Bright does bring back some amazing moments reminiscent of the Bad Boys films.
Joel Edgerton played his character extremely well and was a perfect fit for his role. All in all, Bright is a great start in the revival of the urban fantasy genre and I'm glad Netflix took a risk on the film because: now I'm finding myself looking forward to a sequel to this film.
