Review of Brief Encounter (1945) by Max M — 21 May 2007
Fairly good. Well shot, tight dialogue, poignant at times, probably forgettable. Most young audiences would leave the theater or annoy those trying to stick it out. For a mature viewer -- not physically, but in terms of overall development -- the film is a nice diversion in the classic English way.
