Review of Brief Encounter (1945) by Elizabeth N — 26 Aug 2007
I have never been more afraid of not liking a film because I know without a doubt if I had hated it my sister would never have spoken to me again, I guess it is good then that I loved it.
Definatly one of the most beautiful films ever made, and it's beauty comes from its simplicity. It doesn't over do, or over dramatise anything and it just feels that much more real and therefore that much more heartfelt and heartbreaking.
There were also some amazing camera shots in this film that helped to express exactly how Laura felt. It was just beautiful.
I'd definatly recommend it to anyone.
