Review of Brief Encounter (1945) by Ken T — 27 Sep 2010
Married housewife (Celia Johnson) meets doctor (Trevor Howard) quite by chance and begin to spend time together in a most subtle romance. Absolutely beautiful to watch, masterful dialogue adapted from Noel Coward's play ?Still Life? and outstanding direction by David Lean.
At times humorous and touching Brief Encounter is one ofthe finest romances ever put to the screen.
