Brief Encounter is ranked #2 all time on the BFI's list of greatest British films. Its also on netflix and I've never seen it, furthermore Mr John my grammar school English teacher used to rave about it - literally.
So I watched it.
Sorry, not that impressed. Maybe its just me and I am not particularly well suited to watching these grainy old black and white flicks but I didnt enjoy this that much. The acting was ... pretty wooden dare I say, especially the kids - what were they doing!?
Anyway - im not apologising any more, thought it was rather dull.
