Review of Brides of Blood (1968) by Dan G — 29 May 2012
This is the first of Gerardo de Leon's and Eddie Romero's Blood Island Trilogy, which arguably includes four or five films, but whatever. Brides of Blood, Mad Doctor of Blood Island, and Beast of Blood are the meat of this series and are fine examples of low-budget film making.
The atmosphere and melodrama are rarely surpassed.
