Review of Bride of Frankenstein (1935) by David M — 14 Sep 2009
One of the greatest sequels of all time, and one of the greatest films of all time, James Whale's follow-up to his classic FRANKENSTEIN is darker, creepier, better constructed, and more innovative.
The story unfolds at a leisurely pace, sucking the viewer in deeper and deeper to its dark, atmospheric world. The cinematography is astonishing, causing the viewer to feel almost as mad as the scientists in the film.
Unforgettable and essential.
