Review of Bride of Frankenstein (1935) by Joahnn D — 17 Mar 2018
In my opinion, Bride Of Frankenstein is one of those sequels that is far better than the original. From the cinematography to strong characters, The monster in this film is the best portrayal of Karloff's career, balancing pathos with excellence.
The expressionism is great from the woods to the castle, even the special effects have aged incrediblely well. The score was nominated for an Oscar and it shows through every scene it fits perfectly. From all around complex characters, amazing score, amazing cinematography and special effects make this my favorite film of the 1930s, I give it 10/10.
