Review of Bride & Prejudice (2004) by Laura W — 10 May 2008
A film that stays incredibly true to its Bollywood roots. I loved the over-the-top musical numbers and the dancing was ace. I thought the adaptation of Austen's work was okay; it had moments when it worked and others when it dreadfully floundered.
While I thought Henderson's acting was mediocre, his role particularly suffered from terrible writers -- honestly, listening to him speak was death. All in all, this film is fun and good for a light-hearted viewing.
