I started this movie not sure what to expect, having not read the book, and I finished by calling it my favourite movie of 2008. The soundtrack is very special, the characters are portrayed beautifully and the visual imagery is ethereal.
With a simple yet powerful story, this is a sensual, moving and potentially affecting movie.
