Brick is great. I watch it a lot, because it's better than most movies. It's a film noir set in a modern high school, but using some old noir slang fit fairly naturally into the film. I find that if you don't have an open ear though to affectation in dialogue or accents, you're less inclined to like it, just as a warning.
Still, watch it.
