I think this was trying to be something more than it actually was. Too much talking, not enough doing. I get that they were trying to keep the "noir" theme fresh by setting it in a high school, but the story could've happened without the high school setting.
They didn't really use anything from it. Directing was a little odd and too noticeable at times. Acting was good. Music was very noir-ish. Probably wouldn't watch it again.
