Review of Brick (2006) by Andrew S — 02 Jul 2012
I loved the the idea of telling a modern day film noir and using the backdrop of an average American high school. It was original, unique, and simple genius. Whether you are a film noir fan or not I think this is a film anyone can enjoy.
The dialogue is cleverly written although at times it gets too wrapped in it's self and while still being clever risks the chance of losing the audience attention. But it's the ensemble cast of actors that create this intriguing underbelly of small town school that makes the story so engaging and interesting.
