Rian Johnson's debut movie has some of the snap of Quentin Tarantino dialogue and moody elements that invoke the surrealism of David Lynch. This essentially is a film noir set amongst the drug dealing crowd of high school.
A loner named Brendan is attempting to find out who killed his former girlfriend and the circumstances of the death.
