Heart-wrenching and utterly compelling - the story, the performances, the camera work....really an astonishing work but not for the squeamish. Not that there's gore - just some truly awful things that happen to people who really don't deserve it (and who would deserve these things?).
Makes you question a lot of assumptions you have about people and about film itself.
