Review of Braveheart (1995) by Patrick L — 21 May 2013
Braveheart, starring Mel Gibson as William Wallace, is an account of the repression of Scots by the English and the man who led the revolts that led to Scottish liberation. A violent and bloody depiction of the battles and the repressive acts of the English is intertwined with the love story of William and his wife whose murder by the English provokes William to engage in battles against England. There is some nudity in the depiction of Wallace's consummation of his secretive marriage.
9/10.
