This epic historical medieval war drama film directed by and starring Mel Gibson, beautifully and violently explores the life of William Wallace, a 13th-century Scottish warrior who led the Scots in the First War of Scottish Independence against King Edward I of England.
Clocking in at three hours long, "Braveheart" has a lot of passion, action and romance that makes it a worthy watch even though it may not be as accurate as the source material it arrises from.
