Review of Braveheart (1995) by Drlowdon — 27 Jun 2021
Mel Gibson has hardly been one to shy away from big projects as a director, and that is certainly the case here as he attempts to tell the story of Scottish hero William Wallace (Well, the Hollywood version anyway…).
As you might have already guessed historical accuracy is hardly top of the agenda, but Mel Gibson is magnetic in the lead role, and the sheer scale of the movie is staggering at times. It may have it’s issues, but Braveheart is thoroughly entertaining.
