I always enjoy Pixar films, but my expectations for them have risen high from their previous award winning pictures. There's something about Pixar that make them different from other animation studios, their ideas have always been daring, and original.

However recently, after Cars 2 and Monsters University, it seems that they're starting to lose their charm. I was looking forward to Brave, everything about it drew me in. Sadly, I was left disappointed after watching it, as nothing about the film stood out.

The visuals were amazing (expected), but the characters seemed recycled, boring and predictable. Brave spent the first half getting to the point, and the second half finding an end, which made it seem empty and void of depth.

Overall, the film not being a sequel, had my hopes up that Pixar still had juices left to squeeze, but I guess not this time around. Better luck next time.
