Review of Boyz n the Hood (1991) by Cipora H — 08 Nov 2011
Enjoyed the first half, from youth to young adulthood, before it seemed to descend into a strong social commentary for black America. Reasonable well done but predictable and the characters a little too stuck on for my tastes.
It just seemed set to a time of place, & next to the King riots can understand why this flourished, and to me at least it look particulary dated.
