This year's going out with a bang - Bone Tomahawk is a methodical trudge through the Frontier punctuated with moments of extreme violence - and yes, they are extreme. Russell is tremendous and grizzled as ever, Jenkins unrecognisable (but also brilliant), and even Matthew Fox gives a performance that clears some of that bad claret hanging around since Lost.
