Kurt Russell has an ability to play a dramatic roll with humor. It's that style that makes him so charismatic and what makes this movie engaging. Here he plays an early 20th century or late 19th (we never find out) small town sheriff.
Brutally violent from start to finish this isn't for the faint of heart or those with an easily upset stomach. Richard Jenkins as the deputy sheriff is perfect. What chemistry he and Russell have.
If you like unique westerns this is it. Final Score: 8.2/10.
