Review of Bone Tomahawk (2015) by Chrisnorton — 03 Jul 2023
A gnarly movie. Instant cult classic. Hard to watch at times and lasts with you long after it's over. Western/Horror genre blend and does a great job at each. Truly unique and original, and beautifully shot. Crisp and funny dialogue. Great to watch Kurt Russel, especially in a Western, and the supporting cast is equally as good. This movie has a slow build and many moments of dread and horror, so viewers beware. There are elements of the film that can be seen as low budget or even B-movie-esque but that is in part because it was shot in 21 days and has a low budget - which deserves even more praise given the final result and product. Worth a watch if you have the stomach and are in the mood for something truly original.
