Criminally-underrated remake of "Invasion of the Body-Snatchers" finds the pod people infestation spreading to a military base in Alabama. Gabrielle Anwar leads a solid ensemble cast, including Terry Kinney (tv's "Oz"), R.
Lee Ermey, Meg Tilly and Forest Whitaker. More chilling than previous versions, mostly due to being so small in scope; whereas the previous versions explicitly dealt with a spreading threat, Ferrara's film makes the breadth of the infestation more ambiguous.
