Review of Bob Roberts (1992) by Sean C — 10 Aug 2008
So back in 1994 Tim Robbins predicted the rise of a Yale business graduate who plays up a common man patriotic image although he is wealthy and thinks Capitalism is the solution to everything. He also generally gets the media to warm up to him while labeling his opponents cowardly pseudo-hippies and gets many desperate and/or crazy white people to believe in him.
Also the man backing him has a dirty CIA filled past. I thought this film was silly back in the day, but I was a Republican then and Mr. Robbins had yet to be proven right.
