A film by David Lynch at the height of his career, and most certainly his best film. The film focuses on Jeffery Beaumont(Kyle Maclahlan) returning home from visiting his father in the hospital, he comes across a human ear in the fields behind his house.
investigating the story with the help of the local police dectectices daughter Sandy Williams(Laura Dean) it draws him deep into the seedy underworld of the town, crossing lifes with the pyschotic criminal Frank(Dennis Hopper) and alluring nightclub singer Dorothy Vallens(Isabella Rossellini).
the film is a interesting look at the american lifestyle and culture, wrapped around an engaging story. with great cinematography and magnetic performances from all the cast, David Lynch creates one of the finest american films of the 1980's.
