Review of Blue Velvet (1986) by Kenny V — 22 Apr 2014
Blue Velvet is a dark and desperate film overflowing with a mesmerizing intensity that expertly and unexpectedly fulfills hope for its characters becoming one of the most abstractly uplifting films I have seen in almost no time flat minus the potential whiplash of a plot turned 180 degrees as sharply as this one.
It was just rather difficult to watch its more disturbing moments where I cringed in advance rather than longed for its development.
