Review of Blue Velvet (1986) by Alejandro R — 25 Sep 2015
I'm coming to this film finally in 2015, but it definitely felt like a David Lynch film. Unlike his famed TV series Twin Peaks where it had a chance to build up and draw me in, despite its very odd start, this film just didn't do it for me. It seems to draw on a certain sensibility that I just don't possess or that I need more time to vibe with. So be it.
I didn't find it to be a waste of time, but I also wasn't very engrossed by it.
