Some hammy acting at times and the mechanical bird is laugh out loud material as it shows the age of this film, however genuinely creepy and still shocking in parts,Dennis hopper is excellently vile, you can see where Quentin Tarrentino got his inspiration for Reserviour dogs.
Great use of soundtrack too.
