Beautiful, Crushing, Brilliant. Blue Valentine is one of the grestest love stories of the past 20 years. This film is so beautifully crushing on all levels. Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams were beyond perfect, in their performances as Dean and Cindy.
This is not your average love story, this film covers the beginning and an end to a relationship. This film is so real to life. I am so happy that Michelle Williams got an Oscar nomination, but I am pissed that they snubbed Ryan Gosling.
This film is a love story that can make you smile, laugh, and walk away in the end in tears. Derek Cianfrance really shows true brilliance in his filmmaking. ****.
