Review of Blue Like Jazz (2012) by Jiana W — 29 Aug 2012
I admire this movie for what it is attempting to do. While I do not particularly like Don (he's much less endearing than the author of the book in which this movie is based on), his inner struggle is something many young Christians entering college on their own for the first time can relate to.
It isn't hokey, corny, cliche or even remotely embarrassing as many Christian-themed films are. I also like the way Penny's character is handled. She's a great contrast to the Christians Don is more familiar with.
