Blue Jasmine is a brilliant film. I believe that it's one of Woody Allen's best films that he has ever made to date. It's a rich, detailed, insightful, endearing, well placed and an enthralling character study and also provides a look into family troubles, mental illness, and relationship issues.

But it's much more than just that. It's an exquisite film and a very heavy, disturbing, sad, yet tender and sweet look into the life of this woman that's so called "Jasmine." The acting in this film is just literally some of the greatest performances I have ever seen given by actors.

Cate Blanchett gives the performance of her entire career and I was literally floored by her amazing performance in this film. She perfectly portrays her character as the sick, border-line insane, person that she is and Blanchett completely blew me away with her performance.

I knew she was an incredible actress, but I didn't know she was this good. This will be the performance that I will always remember her by. Nobody could have played her character as well as Cate Blanchett did and I believe she completely and 100% deserves that Best Actress Oscar award.

She was the highlight of this film, and she shined in every single scene that she was in. I will be very surprised if she leaves the Oscars without the statue in her hand, because she completely deserves it.

A simply brilliant, and fantastic performance that truly deserves the shining award more than anybody else in the category. Sally Hawkins also gives an incredible performance, too as Ginger, Jasmine's sister who she is heavily relying on to help her.

I can completely see how she was nominated for supporting actress, because she gives an incredible performance too. The acting in this film is simply stunning and some of the best I have ever seen in all of my years of watching movies.

Everybody (especially the two female leads) take such care and timing in their roles. And the end result is that they're all simply amazing. Alec Baldwin, Louis C.K., Peter Sarsgaard, and even Andrew Dice Clay are perfect in their supporting roles and all give fantastic performances as the diverse characters that they portray.

Truly amazing acting from every single person present in the film. The directing by Woody Allen is of course, phenomenal. But, what do you expect from one of the greatest most profoundly brilliant directors of all time in the history of all cinema? Yeah, of course it's brilliant.

He captured every scene exquisitely perfect in every sense of the way and perfectly filmed every single scene that composed this film so well done. This is one of Woody Allen best films and his directorial effort in this is astonishingly amazing and deserves all the praise and recognition he always gets with his films and he especially deserves it with this film.

Whether it was a scene of two characters just sitting face to face speaking to one another or a huge group of people it was steady, rich, engrossing filmmaking that pulls you into this convoluted world of Jasmine, her sister, and the crazy events that unfold between all of these brilliant characters.

And the script is just fantastic, brilliant, and some of the best writing I have ever heard or seen in a movie in 2013 or of any year. It's rich, enthralling, brilliant, fantastic dialogue that is smart, often very hilarious, rich, inventive and extremely well written.

The dialogue between characters is stunningly amazing and some of the best and well written dialogue and a script in a movie in a very long time. It's a brilliant and very original script that I could see winning the Oscar for best original screenplay as well.

It's that well written and so very brilliant. Blue Jasmine is a somewhat very disturbing yet extremely insightful character study and look into a mental illness and the many problems that come with it.

The acting is brilliant and truly Oscar worthy especially from Cate Blanchett and Sally Hawkins, perfect, engrossing direction, and a brilliant, original, and extremely well written script that mane this film one of the very best films of 2013 and an almost perfect movie experience that is very, very highly recommended.
