Review of Blue Jasmine (2013) by Ethan B — 01 Oct 2018
Blue Jasmine is unlike most Woody Allen films as there is very little to no humor. It is a well written, well put together film. A take on the Bernie Madoff type ponzi schemes and their effects on spouses and families, Allen did a good job showing humanity.
Blanchette's acting is top notch and you feel badly for an otherwise unrelatable character. The supporting cast is terrific, and although a bit predictable the film is worth watching.
