Review of Blow-Up (1966) by Youli S — 23 Oct 2008
Conceptually very interesting, full of a symbolic "mise en abyme" and metaphors on the representation and subjectivity. The atmosphere of the time is also well rendered, and the plastic work and sound is remarkable.
A film primarily intellectual, "for scholars", whose dramatic interest is roughly equivalent to a painting by Malevich.
