Review of Blow-Up (1966) by Sam C — 20 Apr 2009
A divisive movie some feel is too slow and nothing happens while others love its ambience. It is undeniably a child of the 60s and captures swinging London of 1966 better than any other movie I've seen.
It is also undeniably Antonioni. Seldom do his movies move in the direction you expect them to, and this is no different. There's no resolution, there's no conclusion, but there is a 1966 stamp that makes this movie a time capsule which allows us to feel back in time.
