Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Chris C — 12 Nov 2008
Fantastic first movie and trademark Coen brothers. An eerie atmospheric movie with hair raising moments and yet deliciously Coen's at the same time and a sample for what was to come in future years - the film runs circles around the like Fatal Attraction and The Fugitive. The burial scene with the not yet dead body being one of many dark twists.
If you like the Coen Brothers style then this is one for the collection.
