Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Ethan Y — 05 Apr 2009
Poor Dan Hedaya. He's undeservedly been reduced to "that guy" status, when he is really is a fantastic actor. His performance in Blood Simple is nothing short of excellent. The same goes for the film as a whole.
While Blood Simple certainly has an 80's sheen on it, the Coens' first feature shows how their creative vision and style were established right from the beginning.
