Review of Blood Simple (1985) by James-Masaki R — 31 Oct 2011
Although their first film "Blood Simple" was a hard calculated cold thriller, you would never expect the Coen Brothers after only seeing this to be able to do anything but suspense or drama. Obviously, this movie is a major difference from anything else they've done since, but still an excellent, well crafted movie that was good enough to be remade by Zhang Yimou.
And watch the restored remastered cut, with the boring bits cut out!
