Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Turri V — 11 Dec 2016
Saw this movie 32 years after its theatrical release (kind of sad considering I claim to like the Cohen brothers' films). This one was just okay. It feels dated, definately has an 80's taste. It's dark, visually and in subject matter.
It's not polished...gritty and graining even; likely due to lower budget. Reflecting, I didn't really like any of the characters, which made it difficult to invest too much into the story. M. Emmet Walsh was the highlight as an unassuming but quite scary villain that I'll not soon forget.
