Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Tuukka P — 15 Jan 2015
The Coen brothers debut feature about a bar owner hiring a private eye to kill his cheating wife and her lover. Film noir references are clear and so are the talents of the brothers. Visually and story wise we're in a very familiar Coen terroritory and the simple plot is fully explored and taken to ends very few see coming.
A big promise of things to come and an excellent movie in itself.
