Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Robert I — 14 Jan 2013
Coen Brother-styled film-noir at its finest. It mixes genres and moods in the way Tarantino would 8 years later. It takes everything that's great about film-noir and pushes it to the next level. This is one of those rare films that literally had me on the edge of my seat by its suspense.
It's simply phenomenal! Foreshadows the style of filmmaking and suspense the Coens would later illustrate in No Country For Old Men.
