Review of Blood Brothers (2008) by Ben S — 22 Aug 2008

Terrible! Absolutely horrible. The entire movie ran like an overacted summary of cliches from a bigger, more fleshed-out story. Nothing was given any depth whatsoever, so I didn't end up caring about any of the characters and their inexplicable behavior (except for poor Tony Yang; he can do no wrong).

The music was overwrought, as if every single scene was the climax of the movie. As a result, when the climax did actually come, the music playing drained it of any heft whatsoever. Some of the scenes were pretty though.

.. That counts for something, doesn't it?
