Review of Blood Brothers (2008) by Jeroen V — 26 Mar 2012
Al Capone meets John Woo. Shanghai as an asian "Chicago roaring 20s" is majestic, and dear memories of Indie's club Obi Wan sprung to mind; unfortunately, the thin script wear off easily, without developing promising characters and their relationship, and wasting too much time in drama (with a shamelessly not undressed Shu Qi) instead of starting bloody gunfights every minute - till the satisfactory ending shootout.
Bullet off the head.
