Review of Blindspotting (2018) by Natasha O — 24 Jul 2018
What makes this film difficult to watch and what sets it apart from similar narratives is that instead of confronting the issue of racism, the film explores the notion of race in and of itself. Instead of challenging police brutality the director points to the troubling reality of a police state by using brilliantly lighted and angled scenes that will jarringly remind you of your own place in this story.
