Review of Blindspotting (2018) by Miranda Z — 06 Jan 2019
?An incredible addition to the growing body of the fantastic contemporary dialogue on race (Dear White People, Blackkklansman, Get Out). A character-driven, nuanced take on race + social class + violence (gentrification is, ironically, not the most significant issue here). I adore this exploratory style of inequality - not force-feeding a message but displaying the full human spectrum.
Beginning and ending aren't terribly strong imo but Blindspotting is absolutely worth a watch.
